Spacious areas around My Dinh Stadium, West Lake and Sword Lake are ideal destinations for Hanoians to escape heat for a while.

One of the most popular places is Nga Tu So Ward. People, especially youngsters, often visit the area to drink lemon tea and enjoy the cool breeze. On the hottest days, nearly a thousand people gathering around the area.
Nga Tu So Ward is also home to several universities. Students often live in tiny rooms which turn into “saunas” during the summer, so they like to enjoy the fresh air outside in the evening while they escape the dense atmosphere in their rooms and wait for the temperature to cool down before bedtime.
